Aden Adde International Airport
History
Opened in 1928 and was the first facility to open in the horn of Africa.
on 8th June 2007, the transitional federal government announced that the airport would be renamed in honor of the first president of SOMALIA.
In December 2011, Turkish Government unveiled pans to further modernize the airport as part of Turkey’s broader engagement in Somalia. Turkey has step up to help Somalia and wanted change the airport into world class infrastructure such as new systems, modern control tower to monitor the airspace.
